More Information

Condition - generally good and appears to be retaining many/if not most of original construction/features, loss to stain/finish, appears to have been re-stained in brown with possibly original white/grey stain visible in parts, back panel split, old worm holes to arms, rear leg and others dotted around, none are live nor do they effect the integrity of the structure, as far as repairs are concerned i'm not sure if the straps across the back are original or slightly later, there's a later metal bracket on rear leg otherwise no further indication of repair, minor wear to feet and plenty of length in front legs (to frieze 19.5cm), drawer missing lock but handle appears original, general wear including rounding to edges (particularly to seat front), various chips, splits (none severe), a little play in back panel and a tiny amount of play in rear leg.
