A George III ivory and tortoiseshell strung tea caddy of octagonal form with gold loop handle to top, gold pique inlaid and mounted with jasper cameo to front and miniature portrait depicting a lady holding a hand mirror to back, single cavity with wooden lid and bone turned handle, height 11.5cm.
Condition - exterior ivory with various hairlines and a couple of chips, three vertical lengths of tortoiseshell have been replaced with wood, interior lid lacking stops, repair to hinge and original lining missing.
